Lutalyse Injection
Lutalyse is used as a luteolytic agent in cattle, for parturition induction in swine, and for its luteolytic effect in mares. Lutalyse is indicated for estrus synchronization, treatment of unobserved (silent) estrus and pyometra (chronic endometritis) in cattle; for parturition induction in swine; and for controlling the timing of estrus in estrous cycling mares and clinically anestrous mares that have a corpus luteum. Lutalyse Sterile Solution is supplied at a concentration of 5 mg dinoprost per ml. Dinoprost tromethamine. Active Ingredients: Each mL contains dinoprost tromethamine equivalent to 5 mg dinoprost: also, benzyl alcohol, 9.45 mg added as preservative. Storage: Store at controlled room temperature 20 to 25C (68 to 77F) [see USP].
