Canine Spectra KC3 Intranasal Vaccine, Single Dose

3-way protection against kennel cough: Bordetella bronchiseptica, canine parainfluenza virus (CPIV), and canine adenovirus type 2 (CAV2).

Canine Spectra KC3 is a modified live intranasal vaccine for healthy dogs 8 weeks of age and older. It helps protect against canine infectious respiratory disease complex (CIRDC), commonly referred to as kennel cough. The vaccine contains attenuated strains of CAV2 and CPIV grown in cell culture, combined with an avirulent live culture of Bordetella bronchiseptica. Each single-dose kit includes a one-dose vial of vaccine, 1 mL vial of sterile diluent, disposable syringe, and applicator tip.

Key Features:

  • Protects against three common causes of kennel cough (CIRDC)
  • For healthy dogs 8 weeks of age and older
  • Intranasal administration no injection required
  • Includes syringe and applicator tip for easy use
  • Modified live and avirulent live cultures for strong immune response
  • Made in the USA
  • How-to video available at VaccinateYourPets.com

Diseases Prevented:

This vaccine helps protect against three key pathogens that contribute to CIRDC:

  • Bordetella bronchiseptica: Primary bacterial cause of kennel cough; spreads easily via airborne droplets and direct contact.
  • Canine Parainfluenza Virus (CPIV): Viral contributor to respiratory symptoms like coughing and nasal discharge.
  • Canine Adenovirus Type 2 (CAV2): Respiratory virus involved in CIRDC.

Additional Protection:

Immunization with CAV2 also provides cross-protection against canine adenovirus type 1 (CAV1), the virus responsible for infectious canine hepatitis a serious disease affecting the liver, kidneys, and blood vessels.

Directions & Dosage:

  • Open the syringe by twisting or tapping to break the seal.
  • Aseptically rehydrate the vaccine cake using the 1 mL of sterile diluent provided. Shake until fully dissolved.
  • Withdraw the entire contents into the syringe. Remove the needle and attach the applicator tip.
  • Administer 0.5 mL into each nostril (1 mL total).
  • Annual revaccination has historically been recommended. Consult your veterinarian for personalized booster advice.
